This is our Nell. She is a resue from St Louis. She was born in an SPCA. Her mother, Claire, was chained, neglected, dehydrated, starved and pregnant. She was picked up by an animal rescue group and taken to the SPCA where she delivered 8 puppies. She was too malnourished and dehydrated to make milk so the folks at the SPCA hand-fed the pups round the clock for three days when Claire took over the care of her babies.

Claire is a purebred Brittany Spaniel so when NBRAN (Brittany Rescue group) learned of her plight, they tag-teamed Claire and her puppies to Indiana where the family was fostered. The pups were only ten days old. Claire and her pups were fostered by the kindest of people. They emptied out their dining room and turned it into a puppy kingdom. Nell was gently loved and handled. She was flown to Manchester airport where we met her and have loved her since. She will be 5 years old in October.

She is a lovely, nervous, gentle darling. She is adored every day.

Little Bee

Little Bee, the Supreme Being from another planet

When I find myself in times of trouble, the Wee Bee comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, Little Bee
And in my hour of darkness she is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom, Little Bee
Little Bee  Little Bee  Little Bee   Little Bee
Whisper words of wisdom,  Little Bee

This is Little Bee

I'm pretty sure she is the Supreme Being (SB) from another planet. She is so wise. She knows everything. She has ET-esque eyes: wide-set, a little drippy and deeeep. She is a huntress (Well, sort of...She terminally injured a red squirrel while we were camping. Then she got bored and, while she ate her kibble, I carried the maimed squirrel deep into the woods and laid it on a mossy patch under a birch tree where it could watch the clouds float by and die in peace. Have not stop sobbing whenever I think of it.)

Bee is the most well-adjusted dog I've ever known. My friend Debra said, "Don't f- -k her up!" I know what she means. All our other dogs were loveable but riddled with neurosis. We got them as puppies and practically breast fed them so it couldn't be our fault. Does our neurosis absorb into our puppies? If Bee really is the SB, is she safe from my insanity.

Lulu the Black Lab...starring as Cleopatra

Lulu - Black Laborador Retriever

submitted by Janie and Finn

Lulu, a 7 year old labrador retriever, was the only girl pup in the litter. She knows she is unique - in another life, she may have been Cleopatra or some other diva. She can hang with the boys, but she is very much a lady and always the boss, especially with her favorite boy cousin, Wrigley, a Brittany Spaniel.

Her favorite activity is swimming - she is a master at climbing pool ladders and swimming with frogs. Although her shoe nabbing days are over, she still has a luxurious taste for expensive cheese and special gourmand foods that may or may not have been left out for her enjoyment. She never apologizes, I bet Cleopatra never did either.

My name is Cuddles Eben Blue Buster(Gardner) everybody calls me Buster. I am an almost 6 year old (August 28th is my birthday) black brindle Boston Terrier. I now live in Wilmot, NH with my Mommy, my brother Ethan and the Dog Walker. My Mommy found me on Pet Finder.com and after many phone interviews she came to get me on the day before Halloween. I had spent the previous 2 years living in a cage only being let out a few times a day to use the bathroom and for an occasional romp in the kitchen with the communal dog toy. I was kept for breeding (I have 7 children out in the world and many grandchildren and great grandchildren). My old Mommy said it was time for me to leave and have a new life. It was love at first sight when my new family walked in the door. Now I had a boy to play with, a happy gentle man to walk me and the best of all was my Mommy (who I loved at first sight). Off we went in the car to a wonderful happy place at the end of a dirt road. It was filled with so many toys, soft beds, wonderful yummy foods and the best thing of all it was all for me. A family and now I am the happiest dog ever.
